EAFocus is a Midwest consulting firm with a long track record of helping clients communicate clearly, manage important initiatives, and move work to completion. Founded by Barbara Fornasiero in 1999, and joined by her daughter Lucie in 2021, the firm serves clients through trusted relationships and experience-based wisdom and judgment.

Lucie Fornasiero

Partner

Lucie began her career in Madison, Wisconsin as a project manager with healthcare software giant Epic, where she worked with C-suite executives at some of the nation's largest health systems on Epic implementations. She moved into public sector consulting, communications, and project management, with a parallel interest in fund development. At EAFocus she leads project engagements — including project administration across multiple organizations and stakeholders — and supports clients on social media, crisis communications, traditional PR, and community building. She holds a dual degree in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MBA from Wayne State University.

Barbara Fornasiero

Principal & Founder

Barbara is a communications veteran whose background spans public relations, marketing, CEO messaging, and human resources. A Detroit native, she attended Wayne State University on a four-year academic merit scholarship and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She has been involved in business, academic, and community endeavors across Southeast Michigan, collaborating with the region's key influencers and change agents.

Julia Grisdela

Consultant

With a foundation in finance and years of hands-on project delivery, Julia knows how to connect strategic priorities to day-to-day execution. She holds a B.S. in Accounting & Finance from the University of Findlay and a Master of Accounting from The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business. Her career spans four years at Deloitte — including audit and project management — followed by a pivotal role at Rogue Fitness, where she led cross-functional technology initiatives and served as HR Tech Product Manager. She has managed projects across the full lifecycle, from vendor selection through go-live and stabilization, with a particular specialty in HRIS implementations.
